Summary
The main objective of this project is to identify the differences and similarities in the measurement and development of student social-emotional competence between Eastern and Western cultures. Using OECD Survey on Social and Emotional Skills data, we compared the underlying structure of the multidimensional measurement of youth SEC and the patterns of gender and cohort differences between East Asian and North American samples.
