Biography

As the founder and director of the SELASIA+ Lab, I lead various research projects on social and emotional learning (SEL) across Hong Kong SAR, Mainland China, and South Korea, while collaborating with partners in diverse global contexts.


Through my interdisciplinary and research–practice collaborative work, I aim to build an evidence base for SEL that is beneficial for diverse populations, sustainable in routine practice settings, and equity-enhancing at a systemic level.

This study aims to develop a culturally-tailored SEL program for East Asian educators and to evaluate its feasibility and effectiveness for both educators and students.

Building Resilient Futures: Fostering Rural Adolescents’ Positive Development Through Two Innovative School-Based Social-Emotional Learning Programs

The Development and Validation of the Multidimensional Assessment of Teacher Social-Emotional Competence (MATSEC)
