Biography
I practice and teach social work. I am interested in developing social systems that support children’s healthy growth and development, and I place particular importance on the school system: Everything children see, hear, learn, and experience in school has a great impact on them. From this perspective, I believe that social and emotional learning (SEL) is a meaningful process that supports children’s healthy development within the school setting. At the same time, it can serve as an important medium for fostering positive relationships between teachers and students. I am participating in this journey with the hope that SEL will become well-established in schools, enabling them to become more enjoyable and meaningful spaces for both students and teachers.

This study aims to examine the relationships among teachers’ SEC, well-being, and SEL-related practices across diverse sociocultural contexts.

The Development and Validation of the Multidimensional Assessment of Teacher Social-Emotional Competence (MATSEC)
This study aims to develop and validate a new measure of teachers’ social-emotional competence (SEC) that is comprehensive, practical, and culturally relevant in the East Asian school contexts and potentially other parts of the world.
